Together with your dog team, you’ll travel through snow-covered forests and mountain landscapes, stop for lunch around the campfire, and spend the night in a tent or a simple cabin at the kennel.
We offer 2-day tours from 10:00 AM on the first day to 1:00 PM the next day. Lunch, dinner, breakfast, and coffee/snacks are included.
This is a genuine dog sledding experience where you take an active part throughout the entire stay. After receiving instructions from the guide, you’ll prepare your own dog team by harnessing the dogs and attaching them to the sled. We then spend the day mushing through beautiful forest and mountain terrain, stopping for lunch by the fire. Back at the kennel, we take care of the dogs before enjoying a traditional Norwegian dinner around the campfire and preparing for the night in a tent or cabin.
The next morning starts with breakfast, followed by another sledding trip of about one hour. We finish the experience by spending time with the dogs at the kennel and enjoying coffee and snacks around the fire.
Dog sledding is fun, but also a physically demanding activity that requires balance, strength, and endurance. If you have a positive attitude and average physical fitness, you’re good to go. Be prepared for all types of weather, as we’ll be outdoors in all conditions.
If you choose to sleep in a tent, keep in mind that it may feel cold—even with the right gear. Still, it’s an unforgettable experience!
